Spiders, Bugs and Bees Oh My!

Following on from D introducing the ideas of spiders to us, lots of the children have been incredibly interested and we’ve been reading lots and learning heaps about spiders and what they do. This interest has led to many an afternoon making spiders which we have put up in the spider’s web in the window. Everyone has been concentrating really hard when they’ve been making their spiders—trying really hard to get them exactly how they want them. This interest in spiders is morphing into a general interest in  bugs and other creepy crawlies. Accompanying the spider’s web is a bee hive that the children have been populating with bees. I wonder what kind of insect will be next to appear on our walls?

The spider’s web that keeps catching more spiders and bugs as the days go past.
